I had the old port 25 working for awhile but suddenly couldn't send email. Delete whatever is currently populating the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text box and type in "smtp.live.com." Look for the Outgoing Mail Server section. there is no "tools" on my Windows Live Mail! I can send again. his comment is here
Do I need to set this account up from scratch?I have also tried using 110 and 587 (unchecked) that Comcast suggests as alternate. It is not necessarily a Comcast issue if you have Windows Live Mail on both computers and both are set to use Port 25.
