To change the WebDAV Property Behavior settings In the WebDAV Authoring Rules workspace, in the Actions pane, click WebDAV Settings. Possible cause: Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is not installed or running. But still restart of the computer and i still get the same error. - I couldn't find a solid reason for why the component installation failed originally but sometimes the solution to your problem is not necessarily the most complex.

I have verified that WebDAV is enabled and configured with all of the above settings (I also set Allow Hidden Files to be Listed to TRUE). I cannot get this error cleared out and it has become a major point of frustration for me as the senior admin offers no help.
